function. If it is made of metal it will be considered a bracelet. The advantage of a bracelet is that
it can be cleaned to look like new. It can last the life of the watch itself. Disadvantages of a
bracelet are that they are not as comfortable as a strap and can be hard to adjust to fit your wrist.
Keep in mind that all these term are regularly used interchangeably around the world. Ultimately they

The first choice would be to find a local watch repair shop. They should have the most experience. Keep
in mind there can be a cost for having it changed. Especially if you bring your own strap.
With normal use a strap can last 2-3 years. It can last longer if seldom used. Or it can last less if it
is worn while working out in the elements. However some watch enthusiast may like the look of a well

A deployant buckle, also called a deployment clasp, a butterfly clasp, or an invisible double locking
clasp is an expanding metal mechanism designed to fasten a watch band with a fitted look. Two advantages
of this style clasp; first, it does not deform the leather like conventional buckles do, second it goes
on and off of the wrist much quicker and easier than conventional buckles.
